Cement prices in the Muslim holy city of Medina jumped to 23 riyals (USD6) a bag in the past week, from an average of 15 riyals, it was reported, citing contractors and landlords.

Cement prices in Jeddah on the Red Sea rose 25 per cent to 19 riyals over the same period, the report added.
