Cement production in Saudi Arabia, the Arab world’s largest economy, grew 13 per cent in 2011.
Production from 13 companies was 48.4 million tonnes, up from 2.9 million tonnes in 2010, according to industry data posted on the website of Yamamah Saudi Cement Co. Output climbed to 12.3 million tonnes in the fourth quarter, 15 per cent up from the year- earlier period.
