This year, INTERCEM will be marking 20 years since we held the first dedicated independent cement conference in the Middle East and North Africa in Dubai in 1999. As part of the celebrations, we will be bringing our market-leading INTERCEM Shipping Forum to the region for the first time, at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai on the 16th and 17th September.

For the past 8 years in Europe, and since 2016 in the USA, the INTERCEM Shipping Forum has regularly convened cement producers, traders, ship-owners, charterers, ports/terminals and port-side equipment/service providers for events full of unsurpassed networking opportunities and detailed analysis and forecasts in relation to international cement industry shipping and trade. Following the success of these meetings, we are excited to invite local and international industry representatives to join us in Dubai this September, for the first time, to look specifically at the Gulf, Red Sea and the Indian Ocean.

This region has become increasingly important to the international cement trade, with increased exports of cement and clinker from across the GCC, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan and others to Bangladesh, East Africa, and markets further afield. While at the same time, Dubai has become increasingly recognised as a global epicentre for shipping and trade.

INTERCEM Shipping Dubai will take an in-depth look at the major global and regional trends that affect the Dry Bulk market , cement & ports, IMO 2020, freight rate forecasts, trade flows, the dedicated cement carrier fleet, Shipping Finance & law , blockchain, GGBFS and Fly Ash shipping + much, much more.

The registration fee at INTERCEM Shipping Dubai includes, coffee breaks, lunch and reception, event documentation and post-event access to online presentations.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Obtaining a necessary visa is the responsibility of the delegate, check with your local embassy and if you are required to obtain a visa, please allow enough time for your application to be processed before you travel.  Please be aware that in some cases visas can take up to one month to issue. For more information on visa requirements, please contact your local Embassy or Consulate. Credits will not be given where visas have not been applied for in good time.

Please note that hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee.

You are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance, as the organiser will not accept any liability for travelling, accommodation or other expenses incurred as a consequence of a possible event cancellation or postponement.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the venue and content, or the timing of the programme.

CANCELLATIONS

A 50% credit for cancellations received in writing on or before 5 weeks in advance of the event(s) start date, will be made. No credits will be made on cancellations received after this date. Credit notes will only be given in cases of exceptional circumstance (for example, on production of a medical certificate) and an administrative fee will be charged together with any balance due.
