The largest cement conference ever to be held in East Africa took place in Nairobi in June 2014. Driven by rapid infrastructure and urban development cement consumption across the region has seen double digit growth over recent years accompanied by additional production capacity and imports.
In September 2014 INTERCEM held the first ever conference for the international cement industry in the Philippines. Opened by his Honourable Secretary Rogelio L Singson of the Department of Public Works and Highways, more than 250 delegates attended the event.
