| Intercem Americas opened in Atlanta on Tuesday morning with over 150 delegates from 30 countries in attendance. Despite the difficult trading conditions currently existing throughout North America, there does seem to be some basis for cautious optimism going into 2010. Cement demand should at least stabilise and towards the end of next yearbegin to pick up. Projections through to 2016 show strong growth and the long term future continues to look bright. However, regulatory constraints are still likely to be a real factor in how the industry is structured in coming years. |
