INTERCEM AMERICAS took place in Houston between the 29th November - 1st December 2011 and was attended by 175 delegates from 30 countries. Despite the difficult economic climate, discussions were lively and a sense of cautious optimism was the order of the day, this however was tinged with realism and a fear that it would be 2013 before anything significant found its way through to the construction industries. The presentations covered a wide range of topics including the particularly thorny subject of the NESHAP’s regulations which attracted a full house and an extended Q and A session which delayed lunch by almost an hour.
